Pre-IUCN AllEnvi symposium

The National Alliance for Environmental Research (AllEnvi) is organizing with its members a scientific symposium prior to the World Conservation Congress.

These days will be an opportunity to mobilize all scientific communities working on major environmental issues to collectively address the theme of "conservation of biodiversity" through major cross-cutting and multidisciplinary issues mobilizing the various working groups of the Alliance.

This symposium will be organized around four dedicated sessions:

    the evolutionary context of biodiversity conservation strategies;
    the diversity of types of anthropization and their effects in conservation;
    climate-biodiversity interactions and feedbacks;
    the explanation of ethical and legal issues in conservation.

A conference on "Conservation of Biodiversity and Health" will also be given on January 6 by Serge Morand. These days will end on the afternoon of January 7th with an interactive closing session dedicated to governance issues and the place of research for biodiversity conservation in the post-Covid world.
